Travel Gift Basket Ideas

With the holiday’s around the corner, many people are thinking about gifts for their loved ones. If you have a traveler on your list, a travel gift basket is a great way to show them that you love them.

Grab a cute basket, fill it with fun items (travel gift basket ideas below!), and wrap it in beautiful gift wrap. It’s that simple!

Travel Gift Basket Ideas

Traveling can be incredibly fun, but at times it’s also tedious. These travel gift ideas will help enhance the times when it’s fun and they will make traveling more comfortable for those times when it’s not.

Comfortable Neck Pillow

Traveling can be a pain in the neck (literally!), so adding a comfortable neck pillow to your gift basket is a great idea. Choose one that is comfy and attractive for the perfect gift.

Earbud Replacements

Earbuds and eartips (the squishy part on the earbuds) get lost all the time. Why not add an extra pair or two to the travel gift basket? This way your loved one will never be without their favorite music or podcast.

Portable Snacks

It can be difficult to get a meal while on the road (or in the air). That’s why portable snacks are such a great travel gift basket idea. Think of snacks that your traveler can easily throw into a carry on without worrying about the mess:

  • Pretzels
  • Nuts
  • Crackers
  • Granola bars
  • Dried fruit

Consider adding travel-size hand sanitizer or hand wipes too!

Reading Material

Long trips can be boring at times. Make sure to add interesting reading material to the travel gift basket. Here are some ideas:

  • Favorite magazines
  • A new fiction book
  • A gift card to an ebook publisher
  • A book of short stories

Make sure to choose reading materials that your gift recipient already loves or will fall in love with.

Reusable Water Bottle

Traveling can be very dehydrating (especially if you’re flying) so a water bottle is crucial for any traveler. Choose a stainless steel water bottle for safety as well as style.

Travel Wallet

Make sure your traveler never loses their important belongings (like money and ID!). Add an attractive travel wallet to the gift basket so they can travel without worrying about losing these things.

Travel Adapter Plug

If your traveler likes to travel internationally, an international plug with a USB port is the best choice so they can charge their devices no matter which country they’re in.

Bucket Journals

Bucket journals are a perfect cross between a bucket list and a travel journal. It’s a place to plan what you’d like to see and do as well as record your memories as you live them. Travelers love these for planning and record experiences! Here are some of our favorite bucket journals:

  • U.S. National Parks - This bucket journal includes a 2-page spread that covers planning the trip, attractions you want to see, wildlife sightings, and space to journal about your experience.
  • U.S. States and Territories - This bucket journal is perfect for the cross country traveler. Each state has it’s own 2-page spread that includes space to record fun facts about that state and where you want to visit. It also includes journaling prompts for a well-rounded experience.
  • U.S. State parks (by state) - We also offer state park bucket journals for Texas, Florida, Oregon, and California with more on the way!

Which Bucket Journal will you choose for your travel gift basket?
